The Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP) has announced the launch of its 2026 Catalyzing Pediatric Innovation Annual Grant Competition, with awards of up to $50,000 available for selected pediatric medical device innovators. The competition is open to U.S.-based companies developing novel FDA-regulated medical devices or technologies with pediatric applications, including certain software-based tools and devices expanding from adult to pediatric indications.

Supported through the FDA Pediatric Device Consortia program, the grant is intended to advance pediatric innovation from early development through commercialization. CTIP notes that children have historically been underserved in the medical device space, with pediatric devices often trailing adult counterparts by as much as a decade.

Key dates for the competition include a Letter of Intent deadline of May 1, 2026, finalist notifications on June 1, a full application deadline of June 30, and an awards announcement on August 3, 2026.
