Join us for a talk exploring how automated movement and activity recognition is reshaping pediatric healthcare. Dr. Thomas Ploetz will introduce the fundamentals of sensing, signal processing, and machine-learning methods that make objective, real-world behavior assessment possible. He’ll share examples from his work in Autism and Prenatal Stroke, highlight current challenges, and outline where the field is headed next.
Dr. Ploetz is a Professor of Computing at Georgia Tech and a leading researcher in computational behavior analysis, applied machine learning, and wearable/ubiquitous sensing. He is a Distinguished Member of the ACM and an active contributor to the global ubiquitous computing community.
